John Ellison 2026 “What A Life” 1944-2025

Over a lifetime John, a born colourist with a deep knowledge of art history, has interpreted the wonder and beauty of his surroundings through the use of painting, drawing, ecstatic colour and an exuberant expression of form. “making the familiar strange and the strange familiar” (T.S. Eliot).

This exhibition affirms the importance and power of art, community and joy in all of our lives.
